Which boarding school is suitable for my child?
Many parents naturally feel quite overwhelmed when looking for a boarding school for their child. The uniqueness of the British education system, the issue of ensuring that British courses of study and qualifications are recognised when a pupil returns to Germany: these questions, combined with the vast array of boarding schools in the U.K. make this task seem even more daunting.
Von Buelow and Partners knows the British boarding schools and their vagaries. We can help you choose a suitable school by taking your individual child’s strengths and talents into consideration. We are happy to answer all questions about re-entering German schools and we can advise you on appropriate subject choices. We are available to you and your child throughout his or her stay in the U.K.

For how long should my child study in the U.K.?
Your child could come to the U.K. for one or two years – or just for one or two terms. A one or two term stay is ideal for giving an insight into boarding school life and the British education system. After one year at a British boarding school, overseas pupils are able to speak English fluently, their horizons have widened and their self-confidence has been boosted enormously. After a two year stay, your child will have internationally recognised A-Level or I.B. qualifications.
How much does a British boarding school cost?
Termly fees range between £6,000 and £10,000 and include full board, books and stationery, and all routine sporting and extra-curricular activities. Additional costs include uniform, instrumental music lessons and pocket money.
